‘Aspects of Welsh Row’ talks and tours at Nantwich Museum

To complement the summer exhibition detailing the history of Welsh Row, Nantwich Museum will be hosting a talk at 2pm on Saturday 11th August to shed further light on the development of this important district of the town.

 

Talks

The talk, entitled ‘Aspects of Welsh Row’, is in three parts.

Each will be presented by a member of the museum’s research group, and designed to offer a unique and detailed insight that will enhance the main exhibition.

Helen Cooke will present ‘Townsend House and Walled Garden’, while Keith Lawrence

will discuss ‘Cholera in Welsh Row’ and Bill Pearson will take ‘Pubs on the Row’.

Tickets cost £5 (or £4 for museum members) and booking is recommended.

Tickets can be purchased from the museum.

Entry to the Welsh Row exhibition, and the museum, is free of charge.

 

Tours

Visitors are also invited to join guided tours of Welsh Row on Saturday 4th August and Saturday 11th August to learn more about the development of the area.

The tours provide expert guidance on the fascinating history and development of the Row with a personal touch. Historical guides can also be purchased from the museum for those wishing to make their own excursions.

Tours start from museum at 11am and cost £3 per person. They can also be booked by arrangement (for more information, please contact Nantwich Museum).
