As you may have heard on Chris Evans’ Virgin Radio breakfast show this week, CarFest North will be on the move, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
A decision has been made to combine the two CarFest events (north and south) into one large ‘CarFest United’ event at Laverstoke Park Farm.
The event is being combined to welcome visitors from both CarFest North and CarFest South across the weekend of 28th-30th August.
Organisers said: “In the last eight years we are proud to have raised £16.5million for our children’s charities, and have taken this decision to ensure we continue to protect and maximise the money we can raise this year.
“We will bring the north to meet the south… and we’re going to have some fun doing it!”
They offered festival-goers the following reassurances:
- Travel arrangements will be made with coach companies
- Special ticket arrangements for CarFest North ticket holders
- There’ll be a ‘massive convoy’ down the M6
- It’ll be “like the cup final”
Organisers added: “In combining our shows, we are also bringing together the best of our line-ups… we promised you more music, more cars and more stars… and we’re going to deliver!”
The full music line-up announcement will be announced throughout April and the second round of tickets will go on sale on 23rd April.
Stay tuned to So Cheshire for the details – along with, possibly, an epic road trip down the M6!
