Chester Beer Festival 2019 fundraising for local causes

Chester Grosvenor 76 Round Table and Ellesmere Port 490 Round Table are joining forces to host the 31st anniversary Chester Beer Festival this year.

There have been three decades of charity beer festivals hosted by Chester Grosvenor 76 Round Table in partnership with different organisations.

To date the total amount raised has exceeded £250,000 which has all been donated to local charities and good causes in the Chester area.

The Round Table is a social group of men aged 18-45 who meet twice monthly with the aim of giving something back to their local community.

They do this by raising funds through a number of activities, such as the annual Santa sleigh tour, Chester Beer Festival, fireworks nights and numerous other events. The group also holds regular social nights.

None of the Round Table members take contributions or financial reimbursement for any of the time they give.

The charity beer festival in Chester is a three day event – 16th/17th/18th May 2019 – held at Chester Rugby Club, Hare Lane, Littleton.

It features more than 120 beers, ciders and perries, as well as the Barlounge Gin Garden and live bands every night.

Food is also provided by local firms.

The venue provides free parking and there is also a free bus service to and from Chester (via the city’s main bus station).

All profits from the event go to local charities and good causes directly linked to the local area.
