In Pictures: Classic Ibiza 2018 at Capesthorne Hall
Thousands of concert-goers were treated to a taste of the White Isle as temperatures soared in Cheshire on Saturday.
As temperatures soared to levels only normally witnessed on the White Isle itself, Classic Ibiza saw Urban Soul Orchestra, DJ Goldierocks and a host of vocalists delight in the picturesque grounds of Capesthorne Hall.
The concert took the audience on a magical rollercoaster ride through some of dance music’s most iconic tracks – and concert organisers say they were struck by how many family groups attended the event this year.
The first half of the concert was a chilled-out affair, with the audience relaxing over a glass of bubbly, enjoying picnics or dancing along as the sun began to fade.
The set list for the first half included:
Moments in Love (Art of Noise)
Les Nuits (Nightmares on Wax)
Little Fluffy Clouds (The Orb)
At the River (Groove Armada)
Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? (Moby)
Unfinished Sympathy (Massive Attack)
So Good to Me (Chris Malinchak)
Pacific State (808 State)

Something Good (Utah Saints)
Stephen Hussey, conductor and founder of The Urban Soul Orchestra, commented: “What a way to kick-off our six-venue tour of England.
“I think we’ve really hit the spot with this year’s set-list and the weather and all our performers were absolutely incredible.
“The amazing Capesthorne audience were certainly treated to a taste of Ibiza in more ways than one.”
The first half was then followed by an interval where DJ Goldierocks turned things up a notch, getting the crowd into the mood before the orchestra and vocalists returned to the stage as Capesthorne turned into an alfresco nightclub with accompanying lasers.
The set list for the second half included:

Found A Cure (Ultra Naté)
Sing It Back (Moloko)

Lisa Ward, director of Revival Productions (organisers of Classic Ibiza) said: “What an incredible evening!
“I’m local to the area, having worked near Macclesfield for many years, so I had lots of my family and friends in the audience and they absolutely loved it.
“What I really like about Classic Ibiza is that it caters for all the family.
“When I looked out at all the smiling faces in the crowd you could see that everyone, whether they were six or sixty, was having a fantastic time. We hope to see everyone again next year.”
