The popular Teddy Bear’s Picnic at Cholmondeley Castle is back for its eighth year and promises to be THE event for all the family this summer!
The castle’s grounds will once again provide the stunning backdrop for picnickers to enjoy a family day out whilst supporting local charity The Wingate Centre.
There’s plenty of fun in store – appearances from Disney princesses Elsa and Belle, Punch and Judy shows, owl displays and activities from Cheshire Wildlife Trust, face painting and glitter tattoos, traditional fete games (hook-a-duck and splat-the-rat) as well as a bouncy castle and bear hunt!
The Wingate Centre’s sports coaches will be getting little ones moving with fun activities throughout the day too, including parachute games and obstacle courses.
The Cholmondeley Castle Tea Rooms will be open and serving a selection of home-made cakes, sandwiches and snacks plus hot and cold drinks, and guests are, of course, invited to bring along their own picnics.
Proceeds from the Teddy Bear’s Picnic 2018 will go towards providing recreational activities and respite holidays for children with disabilities.
Catherine Cook, marketing and fundraising manager, said: “We are really looking forwards to welcoming families along to Cholmondeley Castle for the 8th annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic.
She added: “This is a major event in our fundraising calendar and, as a very small team that relies on the generosity of our local community, I’d like to thank everyone who gets involved – from the families who enjoy the day to our fantastic volunteers who make the Teddy Bear’s Picnic the success it is. We simply could not run this event without them.
“Don’t forget to bring your teddy!”
