Wine school goes to the flower show

Richard Smith providing talks and tastings at RHS Tatton

The Wine School of Cheshire’s founder, Richard Smith, is no stranger to talking about ‘floral notes’ and extolling the virtues of the botanical links to his work.

Fitting, then, that he should be asked to attend The RHS Flower Show Tatton Park to host a series of talks and tastings throughout the week.

Richard said: “We’re thrilled to this year feature The Bolney Estate Kew Gardens sparkling wines, Three Choirs Vineyard as well as Marks & Spencer English Wines together with selected wines from The Danebury Estate and Denbies Estate.”

He added: “Our great friends from Gwinllan Conwy will be showcasing their incredible wines from Conwy and Oxfordshire's Brightwell Vineyard will be hosting vineyard talks and their wonderful wines will be on tasting too.”

It’s a distinctly English affair (with a few Welsh wines included for good measure) and follows on from the success of the wine school’s special Grape Off event in June at Restaurant 1539 in Chester as part of English Wine Week celebrations.

You can find Richard and the team from The Wine School of Cheshire at ‘The Vineyard’ at the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park.
