Wilmslow Wells for Africa Gardens Day 2017

Gardens Day 24th June (10:30am - 4:30pm)

Wilmslow Wells for Africa presents their 25th Gardens Day, whereby local gardeners open their gorgeous private gardens to the public.

There is a phenomenal range of open gardens, 19 in total, of which three are completely new and several others are welcome returners following a few years off.

The gardens include - a herb specialist garden, a large completely refurbished garden and a skillfully terraced town garden.

Organiser say it’s a wonderful opportunity for visitors to enjoy the gardens, whilst gaining ideas for their own gardens, as well as chatting with the proud owners.

At several of the gardens visitors will also be able to purchase plants. The gardens are all located in Wilmslow, Handforth and Alderley Edge.

Refreshments are offered in several of the gardens too, and the event’s popular lunches are served at “Events HQ” which is St John’s Church Rooms, Knutsford Road, Wilmslow (from 11:30 am to 2:30pm).

Whilst enjoying their day out, visitors will be helping Wilmslow Wells for Africa to continue to provide sources of clean water to rural African communities, as all proceeds go to the charity.

Tickets, which have a map, give admission to all the gardens.

They cost £12 on the day, from any garden or “Events HQ” or they can be bought for £10 in advance from Chelsea Flowers (Wilmslow) or Alderley Flowers (Alderley Edge).
