Kids Allowed nursery hosted celebrations for its tenth anniversary in Knutsford last week.
Set up by Jennie Johnson MBE in 2008, a mother with 17 years’ experience, the vision for Kids Allowed was to create a nursery environment which allows children to develop at their own pace.
The action packed week of celebrations included a birthday party and birthday cake on Monday along with wacky clothes and hair day on Tuesday.
There was a PJ day on Wednesday, dressing up as fictional characters for World Book Day on Thursday and a wear what you want day on Friday with activities chosen by the children.
Donations were given across the week and all monies raised are going to Ronald McDonald House who look after families of children in long term healthcare.
Jennie says that when she herself was looking for childcare, nothing she saw came close to meeting her expectations and so she created Kids Allowed.
Everything was looked at with a fresh perspective, through the eyes of a mother.
Speaking about the anniversary, Jennie said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our 10th year in Knutsford.
“We have loved serving the Knutsford community and sharing the journey of local children from birth and the many who return throughout their primary school years to our popular after school club.”
Knutsford is also home to the Kids Allowed Training Academy where over 140 Kids Allowed colleagues have graduated with childcare qualifications with more than 80 currently in the process of gaining their qualifications.
Jennie added: “We look forward to helping many more children develop in the next 10 years and beyond.”
