Each week, we’ll introduce you to one of Knutsford Market Hall’s traders.
This week it’s the turn of the long-established team at Edwards and Emmess Butchers.
Edwards and Emmess Butchers was established way back in 1964, with Wendy Edwards at Knutsford Market Hall from day one.
Wendy’s mum used to run a farmer’s market decades ago – proving that supplying good, honest, local produce never goes out of fashion!
Alf and Joan Edwards along with Ian Emmess took over in 1984, and three years ago Michael Oldham joined the company.
Edwards and Emmess Butchers is a true success story for the market and has a loyal customer base.
The vast majority of the produce they sell is from local suppliers and farms, and they are proud supporters of British farming.
Edwards and Emmess supplies a number of local restaurants and caterers and specialises in deep-freeze orders (handy if you are planning ahead!)
You can pre-order items ready to collect, or to be delivered, and even ask for burgers to be made to order.
In addition, Edwards and Emmess sells a range of cooked meats, cheese, eggs and preserves. They offer a lovely, personal, customer service.
