Deadline approaching for Salters’ Den competition

The deadline for entries is 12 noon on 27th October 2017

Time is running out to submit applications for this years Salters’ Den competition and the organisers are encouraging anyone who is considering entering to do so without delay.

Dawn Beschorner, Howard Worth’s marketing manager, commented: “Salters’ Den is a great platform to assist a new business in generating both funding and promotion.

“If you are considering applying don’t leave it to the last minute, think about the content of your entry and also the time it takes to complete the application process.”

If you are based in the Northwich or Winsford area and started your business on or after the 1st January 2016, or have a great idea for a business, then you could be in with the chance of winning a cash prize of £2,500 as well as expert accountancy, legal and financial mentoring.

Salters’ Den brings together Howard Worth Chartered Accountants, Mosshaselhurst Solicitors, NatWest Bank and Cheshire West and Chester Council with the aim of supporting and encouraging entrepreneurs and to recognise new business creation.

Last years competition winner – Will Bell from Nearcut Limited gave the following feedback: “Winning the Salter’s Den competition has helped transform Nearcut from a part time interest to a sustainable business.”

The deadline for the 2017 competition is 12 noon on the 27th October.

Once all the applications have been reviewed, the judges will be inviting those shortlisted into the Salters’ Den in November, when they will be holding panel interviews to determine the worthy winner.
