Middlewich FAB Festival 2017 announces more free concert headliners
Middlewich FAB Festival is ecstatic to announce that the alternative English indie band ‘Molotov Jukebox’ is the headline act for Sunday evening’s free concert on the main festival site, Market Field.
Supporting ‘Molotov Jukebox’ on Sunday evening is local acoustic artist Sam Lyon. FAB Festival 2017 is sure to have a magical ending with these two bands performing.
Festival goers are in for a wild treat with the musical stylings of London six-piece, ‘Molotov Jukebox’.
Lead singer, Natalia Tena, from hit series Game of Thrones and the Harry Potter Series, fronts the band with sultry vocals and her accordion.
‘Molotov Jukebox’ creates a unique tropical-gypsy-dance sound with instruments such as the gypsy violin and Latin trumpet.
FAB Festival expects to hear hits from the ‘Molotov Jukebox’ newest album, “Tropical Gypsy”.
After touring Europe and South Africa, ‘Molotov Jukebox’ is bringing the excitement to FAB Festival this summer to give an enchanting performance for festival goers.
Having traversed the globe with their headline performances while racking up hundreds of festival appearances including Glastonbury, Eurosonic and Womad, Molotov Jukebox are a band of true universal appeal and released their second album, Tropical Gypsy in April, following on from the success of 2014’s debut Carnival Flower.
Internationally acclaimed actress Natalia Tena fronts the six piece band with her infectious lead vocals, her accordion backed up by Balkan fiddle, powerful Latin trumpet and a pounding rhythm section that gets the crowd moving at every raucous show.
With their album title Tropical Gypsy giving name to their unique genre (nicknamed ‘gyp step’ by their thousands of fans), Molotov Jukebox prove again and again that dancing has no borders with their bi- lingual fiesta floor fillers.
Supporting artist Sam Lyon, has experienced wonderful success since starting her career at the age of only 13.
Cheshire based singer song-writer and cover artist, Sam Lyon, toured the UK in 2015 alongside a Swedish Artist. Festival goers can expect to hear fabulous hits from her latest EP, “The Bitter Taste of Bliss” and her latest single, ‘Every Second Counts’ as featured on BBC Introduction and other radio stations.
FAB Festival is thrilled to welcome Sam Lyon to perform on Market Field this summer and is sure she will be a wonderful addition for the younger crowds.
Mayor of Middlewich, Cllr Pam Farrell comments: “FAB Festival is always an amazing three days filled with fun and we wanted to end this year with a bang.
“I am very excited to have ‘Molotov Jukebox’ headline Sunday evening’s free concert.” Pam continues, “I’d also like to welcome Sam Lyon to the FAB Festival family.
“It is important for Middlewich to support local talent and I am sure Sam Lyon will be a real treat for FAB Festival visitors.”
