Tom Kerridge’s food and music festival, Pub in the Park is coming to Knutsford!
The laid-back summer celebration will be heading to The Lambing Shed (7th-9th September) for three days of gourmet food, cracking music and lush vibes.
You can expect amazing grub from pop-up pubs including Tom Kerridge’s Michelin-starred The Hand & Flowers and The Coach; James Mackenzie’s Pipe & Glass; Yorkshire hero Andrew Pern with The Star Inn at Harome; and Josh Eggleton’s Pony & Trap.
Cooking demonstrations will also take place on the Chef Demo Stage from the chefs of the pubs involved – as well as top cooking talent including Great British Bake Off 2016 winner Candice Brown.
There will also be bars serving every tipple from Greene King’s refreshing pints and Pimm’s British bevvies to crisp cider from Westons and cocktails from Fentimans, amongst others.
Masterclasses and tastings will also be on offer throughout the weekend from Sipsmith and Dark Horse Wine, as well as lots of shopping from the Artisan Market and Shopping Village.
And, of course, there’ll be cracking music from household names including: Tom Odell, Melanie C, Razorlight, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Squeeze and many more. Sounds like a lush day out!
The first ever Pub in the Park festival took place in Marlow in May last year.
Headed up by Tom Kerridge – along with a stellar line up of chefs, pubs and chart-topping music – the festival sold all 18,000 tickets within 24 hours.
Building on the sell-out success of 2017, this year will see Tom taking Pub in the Park 2018 on tour around the UK.
Tom and his fellow chef mates will be visiting four English towns, including Knutsford, to bring his Michelin-starred pubs plus a selection of top local pubs and restaurants to serve their most popular dishes.
The event will celebrate the very best food the country has to offer, combined with great live music, chef demonstrations, top quality shopping and plenty of festival fun.
On top of the national chef and music names, the Knutsford event will celebrate the local community in the form of brilliant local artisans, pubs, local foodie heroes and musicians.
Pub in the Park Knutsford will showcase The Star Inn (Andrew Pern) and Angela Hartnett’s Café Murano as well as Michelin-starred and multi award winning family-run The Pipe and Glass (James Mackenzie) and country tavern The Church Inn.
The Church Inn holds multiple accolades – including being winner of ‘Best Food Offering in the UK 2017/18’ and finalist of ‘Best Pub Company in the UK 2017/18’ at the Publican Awards.
