James Martin set to return to Nantwich

International Cheese Awards 2015 line up taking shape

Did someone say it’s still eight months to go until the International Cheese Awards 2015? Well, we’re looking forward to them already - and so is celebrity chef James Martin who’s heading up the bill again for the event - taking place on Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th July this time around.

As you’d expect, preparations are gathering pace behind the scenes to make the ICA 2015 the best show yet and last month it was announced that chef Will Holland will be returning to the demo kitchen for his third successive year.

This month the show’s organisers are delighted to confirm the return of another familiar face, as Saturday Kitchen star James Martin will once again be joining them in the fabulous cheese marquee, demonstrating some of his favourite recipes.

James has rarely been off our tv screens since making his debut in November 1996. He was a regular face on Ready Steady Cook, and in 2006 reached the semi-finals of Strictly Come Dancing.

In 2008 James featured in prime time special The Real Italian Job where he lived his dream of racing in the exclusive Millie Miglia race in Italy in a vintage sports car.

His latest series include: James Martin’s Food Map of Britain and Home Comforts, as well as his weekly Saturday Kitchen appearances. James is also the author of more than 10 best-selling and award-winning cookbooks as well as his autobiography Driven.

His career began at Castle Howard, where his father ran the catering. At the tender age of 22, he opened the Hotel and Bistro du Vin in Winchester as Head Chef, where he changed the menu every day.

A show spokesperson told us: “With so many strings to his bow, we’re thrilled that James has made the time to come back up to Nantwich for the International Cheese Awards once again.

Places for his demonstrations always sell quickly, so keep an eye on our website and our Twitter feed for further details.”
