Sandbach Utd kicks off 2018 in style with new kit
Sandbach United football teams have been proudly donning their new kit after scoring support from Redrow Homes.
The housing giant initially sponsored two Sandbach Utd teams - the girls U15s and the boys U9s - when it launched its Sandbach Community Fund in June last year, and three further teams have subsequently been successful in obtaining funding.
The sponsorship, which equates to over £3,000 in total, has meant funding for items of kit ranging from rain jackets and winter training gear to water bottles and trophies.
Chris Hall, manager of one of the U12s teams, said: “The U12s really needed some away strips, training gear as well as some hats, bottles and trophies so we’re thrilled with the support as we’ve been able to purchase, and already make good use, of all of those things.”
Jason Newton, sales director for Redrow added: “We were only too happy to help out the many teams at the football club as we love to support grassroots sport and can really see it benefitting local families and endorsing a healthy lifestyle.”
Sandbach United currently runs teams from age 6 to 18 as well as both ladies’ and men’s open age teams.
