Suffolk-based brewery, St Peter’s, has pledged its support for the annual Knutsford Beer Festival, by offering a free keg of beer to help its money-raising efforts!
The Knutsford Beer Festival, now in its 4th year, takes place this weekend (20th & 21st April) and offers visitors a chance to try a range of beers – many of them from local brewers.
This year, as part of its commitment to supporting charity events, St Peter’s will be donating a 30-litre keg of its St Peter’s Without Original for the event.
“The organisers of the festival approached us as they were looking for a high quality, alcohol-free beer to offer to people who might be designated driver for the day, or who simply don’t drink alcohol,” explained CEO Steve Magnall.
He added: “We were only too pleased to help and, as it’s a charity event, we will be supplying a 30-litre keg of St Peter’s Without Original for free.”
Festival chairman Andrew Malloy commented: “I’m really excited to be able to offer our visitors some alcohol free beer at the festival and to show people how good it can be.
“I find it bizarre that everywhere I go in Europe there are always alcohol free options available, but it’s not just the same here.
“We’d like to put the record straight and will look forward to having some decent zero alcohol beer to sell.”
