Over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd September, the Great British Food Festival is back at Arley Hall, near Northwich.
Along with wonderful food and drink producers, there will be headline chef demos, foodie talks, live music to enjoy on the lawns and a ‘Cake Off’ too!
The Cake Off is a popular part of the festival, where amateur bakers go head-to-head to win a prize from Kenwood.
Howard Middleton (former Great British Bake Off contestant), who will help judge over the weekend commented: “I love demoing at the shows and the highlight of the weekend is judging the public cake off.
“The effort people put into their cakes is simply staggering and I learn from these showstoppers every time.
“So get baking and bring a cake to enter. I can’t wait to try them and you might even win a prize!”
Festival director Dan Maycock added: “We’re thrilled to have Howard along to Arley, the ex Bake Off stars are always very popular.
“The Cake Off competition is great fun, it’s fantastic to see the public entries and what they can do, and all bakes get free entry to the event with their cake!”
The event features lots of artisan producers who will also be showcasing the best in seasonal and speciality food and drink.
Pulled pork, prime steak and local sausages are just a few of the fabulous flavours you can enjoy.
It’s a great foodie family day out, and tickets are currently on sale at a discounted rate at: www.greatbritishfoodfestival.com
