Wilmslow Art Trail celebrates fifth birthday

Wilmslow Art Trail is back: 5th-7th October 2018

Held over 3 days (from 5th-7th October), the Wilmslow Art Trail is a chance to see, enjoy and buy original art directly from the artists.

Now in its fifth year, there are plenty of different disciplines on display.

Painters, jewellers, printmakers, textile artists, potters, willow weavers and furniture makers are this year joined by a cartoonist and three tattoo artists who are keen to show you their original works on paper (as well as how tattoos are developed).

Shops, churches, cafes, dance studios, artist’s studios, a theatre and the Wilmslow Guild will be acting as venues for the artists during the trail.

There is also a mini trail at John Lewis Cheadle – where two artists will be exhibiting during the weekend.

The art trail map (available at details the spread of locations.

Wilmslow Guild also opening its doors for its own open exhibition.

Featuring the work of students in calligraphy, textiles, ceramics, dressmaking and many other artistic disciplines, the whole building will be humming with creative talent!

The guild’s photographic society members will also be on hand to show off their work and to tell you about their group.

Art trail organiser Georgie Johnson said: “Wilmslow Art Trail is all about opening your eyes to the hidden talents that make up our town and the wealth of creativity is wonderful to see.

“Whether you are looking for something original for your home or just seeing and enjoying some wonderful art, we hope you have a very enjoyable trail.”

Brochures and leaflets which detail locations and opening times are now at locations all over town – including supermarkets and at Wilmslow Library.

You can also download and print these from the website.
