My Curry Club, Cheshire’s first dedicated Indian cookery school, is due to officially open its doors near Holmes Chapel next month.
The business’ owners have been busy inspiring and teaching home-based classes throughout 2018 and due to popular demand My Curry Club is now settling down in Cranage.
Habiba Chowdhury is behind the concept, bringing teaching methods which focus on authentic dishes and bold flavour combinations.
A passionate chef and foodie, Habiba is on a mission to eliminate the stigma attached to Indian food being too greasy or too spicy.
All of her classes lead guests by the hand and take then on a journey of discovery. They are suitable for beginners and professional chefs alike.
Habiba explained: “For me, marrying my British and Bangladeshi heritage is what makes what I have to offer unique and exciting.
“Great food leaves a lasting impression and creates a memory that cannot be forgotten.
“I’m so pleased that I get to welcome all people into my kitchen to learn more about creating delicious food.”
Whilst almost three quarters of the Indian restaurant industry in Britain is Bangladeshi-owned, Habiba is passionate about the flavours of home-cooked Bangladeshi food, enlightening and educating people about the regional flavours from numerous areas in Bangladesh and India.
My Curry Club will also be opening a spice store – open to the public for all their cooking needs.
