Knutsford shops and businesses, as usual, put on a beautiful display for the town’s annual Floral Walk to celebrate the RHS Flower Show which took place at Tatton Park last week.
Two competitions make up the Floral Walk:
- the formal competition, judged by RHS judges with strict criteria for those who enter
- the informal competition, led by Knutsford Town Council with winners chosen by the public via social media
The formal RHS competition winner was Clare & Illingworth and they were presented with their prize on Wednesday 18th July (read more, here).
Mayor of Knutsford, Cllr Peter Coan presented the top three public vote winners with their certificates on Tuesday 24th July, with the first place winner keeping the illustrious trophy to display for the year.
The winners of the public vote, organised by Knutsford Town Council, were as follows:
– 1st Place, Old Sessions House
– 2nd Place, Wine and Wallop
– 3rd Place, Pulse of Perfumery
Cllr Coan said: “The whole week has been absolutely inspiring.
“The amount of time and effort shown by local businesses is amazing and seems to get better with each passing year.
“Our town looks fantastic and is a credit to all involved. Well done everybody!”
Stephen Evans, chief executive of Carrwood Limited which owns Old Sessions House, commented: “The team of The Old Sessions House are delighted to have participated and won this year’s competition.
