Macclesfield Town Council has recently made a commitment to re-vamp two of the town’s play areas.
Hall Grove park in Tytherington and High Street/St James’ Place park will both benefit from significant investment to provide brand new, inspiring areas in which for children to play.
Town councillors agreed to a £100,000 investment in the parks as part of a programme to make improvements to facilities across the town.
The tender process led to the appointment of Hags UK who will carry out the work and complete the transformations.
The company has provided some initial ideas and the local communities in each of the areas will be invited to help complete the final designs.
Helena Gowler, community engagement and events officer for Macclesfield Town Council, said: “This is the start of what will be an ongoing project to refresh the town’s play areas.
“We are really excited about the initial designs and we are looking forward to providing some engaging new areas for local children to play outdoors.”
Work is expected to commence in July.
