LS Gymnastics held a grand opening this week after moving to a new venue at the former MMU campus in Crewe.
Crewe and Nantwich MP Laura Smith attended the opening and commented: “I’m so glad I was able to attend this event.
“It’s fantastic to see such a great family organisation expanding in our town and it’s wonderful that our children now have this facility to come to.”
Performance manager Candy Lakin and head coach Ellie Lakin established the club in 2016 and it’s been their ambition to expand and pass on their skills to more young people.
Candy said: “It was a privilege to have Laura here and for her to know so many faces obviously having great links to the community.
“On behalf of LS Gymnastics we would like to thank Laura for taking time to open up our new gymnastic facility.
“We are so proud to have amazing staff and a strong community supporting us from the start of building the club three years ago.”
Candy added: “We love that our club celebrates the simple roll to the stunning quality of many of our gymnasts.
“The club was built and formed by the community for the community and we continue to follow this ethos. We have over 550 members from bouncing babies to grandparents.”
Candy added a special thank you to Micheal Jones and Amanda Weston, as well as the town mayor for the support the club has received.
“The Lakin family is very proud to share the club with an amazing team around them,” she said.
LS Gymnastics Crewe Academy is now open Crewe Green Road, CW1 5DU.
