POP-tastic perfumer Peter Murray, of Pulse of Perfumery in Knutsford, attended the Great British High Street Awards in Edinburgh on 23rd January.
Accompanied by Knutsford Town Council’s town centre and marketing officer, Sandra Curtis, Peter was flying the flag for Cheshire at the award ceremony.
He was shortlisted from over 100 entries in the High Street Hero category and although he didn’t return home with the top gong this time, the event offered a fantastic networking experience.
Peter and Sandra met fellow independent business owners, town centre professionals and influencers from across the country.
The awards were organised by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
Peter commented: “This nomination came completely out of the blue and, although I did not win the overall award, to be on a national shortlist and attend the ceremony was an honour.
“Here’s to 2020 and let’s support and shop local in Knutsford this year”
Sandra added: “This was the first year we entered the awards and it was lovely to see Peter shortlisted.
“We will definitely be entering these awards again for 2020 so watch this space.”
