Ridiculously Rich comes to Cheshire

As business ventures go, you can do a lot worse than opting for one backed by multi-millionaire tycoon Lord Alan Sugar (we still like calling him Sir Alan!)

So, when you’re presented with an opportunity like that which also involves cake…well… where do we sign up?!?

We can easily imagine that this was the thought process of Ridiculously Rich’s Cheshire brand ambassador Caroline Brown.

We caught up with Caroline at the Royal Cheshire County Show last week where Ridiculously Rich founder Alana Spencer was also in attendance to meet visitors and introduce them to the innumerable delights of the sweet treats on sale.

Staying true to her love for Belgian chocolate and luxury ingredients (Alana became a self-taught chocolatier at just 16 years old), her refined offering of six well-loved cakes have been travelling the country to bring tasty goodies to food festivals and shows everywhere!

It’s now more than two years since Alana decided to take her business a step further when she applied to become a candidate on BBC One’s The Apprentice, seeking a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar.

Proving herself to be business-minded, adaptable and astute, Alana beat off competition from the 17 other candidates to win a 50/50 partnership with the business titan.

She came up with the brand name for her business during the dramatic season finale… and ‘Ridiculously Rich by Alana’ was born.

The company’s gone from strength to strength, and Caroline has been busy appearing at numerous events around Cheshire since she joined the business.

Caroline said: “Being the Cheshire ambassador for Ridiculously Rich by Alana makes me so proud, it has allowed me to follow my dream of running my own business but with help and support from Alana, her team and fellow ambassadors.

She added: “It’s been a huge learning curve but an honour to represent the brand and an amazing experience, it’s so much fun it doesn’t feel like work!

“Moving forward I hope to expand the Cheshire franchise to be able to attend multiple events and move in to wholesale supply.”

If you want to grab a slice of the action yourself, over the coming weeks Caroline will be at:

  • Foodies Festival at Tatton Park
  • Nantwich Show
  • CarFest
  • Cheshire Game and Country Fair
  • Pub in the Park at The Lambing Shed, Knutsford
  • Nantwich Food & Drink Festival
  • The Great British Food Festival at Arley Hall

Alongside these she will also be appearing at a number of other local events. A full list can be found here:
