Organisers of the Royal Cheshire County Show have announced a thrilling line-up of attractions for their summer spectacular when it returns in June.

The family-friendly event, organised by the Cheshire Agricultural Society, celebrates the agricultural heritage ingrained within the local community.

Boasting a range of fascinating exhibitions, mouth-watering demonstrations and exhilarating performances, the Royal Cheshire County Show promises a great day out in the glorious Cheshire countryside.

This year, the main ring welcomes quad bike stuntman, Paul Hannam who will put on a nailbiting display of precision riding, multiple roll stunt quad and trick riding.

Visitors can also experience the excitement of a day at the races condensed into miniature, with “The Shetland Pony Grand National”.

If you’re looking to impress family and friends, a Royal Cheshire County Show VIP Marquee will fit the bill perfectly.

Brand new for 2020, just four of the 3mx3m marquees will be available to hire – each accommodating up to eight people.

Prominently positioned, facing the main ring with a small private garden area, the marquees will provide the perfect entertainment package.

After a successful show debut in 2019, the Market of Makers is back for visitors to explore the very best artisan and home-made products.

Expect top-quality wares crafted by an array of skilful creators including artists, musicians, bakers, producers, designers and creators.

As always the show will play host to hundreds of competition classes for livestock.

These include: pigs, cattle, sheep and dairy goats – all competing for the many coveted trophies available.

Classes are also welcoming light and heavy horses, show jumping, rare breeds of livestock, poultry, pygmy goats, pigeons, cavies, rabbits and dogs.

Amongst a jam-packed schedule of competitions, The Agri-Centre is a must-see experience for those who wish to learn how food is produced.

Cheshire farmers will be running demonstrations throughout the day; feeding calves, milking and sheep-shearing.

Other presentations include veterinary care, butchery, ice cream making and bread making.

Inside the Roberts Bakery Food Live Theatre, visitors can watch multi-Michelin star and 5/5 AA Rosette winning chef, author and restaurateur, Jean-Christophe Novelli put on a mouth-watering demonstration of culinary expertise.

Visitors will also be able to taste Cheshire’s finest locally sourced produce inside the Roberts Bakery Hall which hosts local, regional and national producers and purveyors of fine food under two huge marquees.

Rob Davenport, show director, commented: “We are proud to organise this fantastic event which attracts a crowd of thousands annually from across Cheshire and beyond to experience the many interesting and fascinating aspects of farming and rural life.

“This year, guests will be able to browse unique handcrafted products at the Market of Makers, watch exhilarating attractions inside our brand-new VIP Marquees and view mouth-watering culinary demonstrations by our celebrity chefs – it’s all about The Royal Cheshire County Show!”

The Royal Cheshire County Show 2020 takes place on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th June 2020 at Clay House Farm, nr Knutsford.
