Santa has already been seen out and about around Crewe this year, spreading Christmas spirit and Christmas presents for children and young people.
It’s the fifth year that Swansway Motor Group has joined the jolly red man on Santa Patrol, as director David Smyth explained: “As a family business, we care about not only our own wider work family, but also about families in the areas where we operate.
David added: “Christmas is a magical time of year, especially for children and five years ago we decided to support children for whom Christmas is not the special time it should be by starting our Christmas present giveaway, Swansway Santa Patrol.”
This year Santa started off with a visit to Crewe Audi presenting gifts to Crewe-based charity Chance Changing Lives, which supports families through homelessness and challenging times.
Crewe Audi also supported Crewe Alexandra FC children’s party by donating gifts to community project manager Ray Walker.
Next, Santa popped into Crewe SEAT where Chance Changing Lives picked up some more Christmas presents – ensuring that none of the children they support will miss out this Christmas.
As Santa was so busy, Swansway communications manager Karen Walker stepped into his boots to visit Dee and Chris Drake’s charity, The Toy Appeal.
This year, the charity will make up over 3,700 sacks of presents for children across Cheshire and Manchester who’ve been nominated by social workers, schools and drop-in centres.
This year’s Swansway Santa Patrol will see donations of Christmas presents to a total of more than 30 different children’s groups and charities.
