Neil Tinsley, accounts assistant at Swansway Motor Group‘s fleet operation, got on his bike and rode 300 miles for a Cancer Research UK charity challenge recently.
Neil, whose day job means he’s more familiar with four wheels than two, was inspired to get on his bike for Cancer Research UK after he turned 50 and found the joys of pedal power.
Neil explained: “I’ve been a volunteer for the Christie Hospital Support Group – Nantwich for over 20 years. I’m currently the treasurer and we organise fundraising events throughout the year.
“Sadly, cancer touches almost everyone’s life at some point, in some way, and I’ve always tried to help in any way I can.
“I started cycling last year, just after my 50th birthday, so when Cancer Research UK came up with the challenge to cycle 300 miles in the 30 days of September, I decided to go for it.”
Supported all the way by his colleagues at Swansway, Neil completed the challenge – but it’s not too late to donate and support Neil’s fundraising.
